Skilful, dynamic attacking midfielder

James has progressed through the academy from Under-11’s to the EDS after signing his first professional contract in July 2020.

A technically gifted and versatile attacking player, James has also featured regularly for England at youth international level.

He was afforded his senior City debut in September 2021, coming on as a substitute in our Carabao Cup win over Wycombe Wanderers.

He has since featured five times as a substitute, twice in the Premier League, twice in the FA Cup and once in the Champions League.

His 28 appearances for the EDS in 2021/22 earned him the Players’ Player of the Year trophy.

James will spend the 2022/23 season furthering his experience on loan with Sheffield United.
