There’s nothing but transfer gossip in the City-centric headlines this morning.

Everyone seems to have an ‘update’ regarding the many on-going sagas, so let’s see what’s being said…

According to TalkSPORT, Gabriel Jesus has rejected Barcelona’s approach, in favour of a move to City.

An article reads: “The 19-year-old is one of the hottest young talents in Brazil and, after bagging 19 goals in 30 games this season, Europe’s big clubs are keen to snap him up.

“Barcelona had reportedly agreed a £27million fee for the Brazilian and they were confident he would put pen to paper on a five-year deal.

“But now, according to Catalan newspaper Sport, Gabriel has snubbed the Spanish champions in favour of a move to Manchester City.

“Like Barca, City have agreed a £27m fee with Palmeiras for the youngster and they have also offered him a five-year contract.

“However, Gabriel has opted to move to the Etihad Stadium instead due to his desire to work under new manager Pep Guardiola.”

Elsewhere, the Daily Star believe the signing of Leroy Sane could be completed within the next 24 hours.

Writes Jeremy Cross: “Sane has jetted into Manchester to put the finishing touches to his summer move from Schalke.

“The 20-year-old had a medical yesterday before discussing personal terms with Etihad bosses.

“Sane was supposed to travel with Schalke to Austria to take part in their pre-season training camp.

“But he flew to Manchester instead after both clubs agreed a fee and is now poised to become Pep Guardiola’s latest signing.

“It is understood Sane will sign a four-year deal worth around £80,000-a-week.”

Meanwhile, the Manchester Evening News claim Arsenal have bid for an alleged City target.

Alice McKeegan states: “Eeports in Italy claim Arsenal have bid for ‘City target’ Torino right-back Bruno Peres.

“The reports say City are keen on the Brazilian defender but face competition from the Gunners who have apparently already bid £13.54m for him.

“Treat this speculation with extreme caution as City sources indicated last month that they have NEVER expressed any interest in signing the former Santos player.”
