It’s a list which makes pleasing reading for City supporters with two of our very own sitting on the podium…
Top five Premier League assist-makers
1 Kevin De Bruyne (City) – four assists
2- Kelechi Iheanacho (City) – three assists
2- Steven Defour (Burnley) – three assists

In the top five leagues in Europe, only Lionel Messi has more assists than Kevin De Bruyne since the start of the 2014/15 season, so it’s no surprise to see him at the top of the Premier League rankings.
The brilliant Belgian has weighed in with 34 assists over the past two years with Messi only claiming one more in that time.
Perhaps more surprising is the name of Kelechi Iheanacho in the top three.
The young Nigerian is more synonymous with putting the ball in the back of the net himself but he has an eye for a killer pass too, as his share of second place with three assists proves.
Just back from the collection of five players with three is Raheem Sterling who has put two goals on a plate for his teammates, earning him a share of seventh with a clutch of Premier League rivals.
As for De Bruyne, he averages an assist 128 minutes and a chance created every 102 and he’s also weighed in with two Premier League goals.
Kelechi has been directly involved with a goal every 37 minutes he’s been on the pitch in the league this season so far, while Sterling has contributed to six goals – one every 99.5 domestic minutes.
